My Story
I was born in Washington, Tyne and Wear, England, the ancestral home of George Washington, and emigrated to the United States in 2008. Spokane has been my home ever since. I became a U.S. citizen in 2015 and have been involved politically ever since.
I’m a Christian and a lifelong conservative. My wife Sabreen and I are raising our family here in Spokane, where we both run small businesses. Spokane isn’t just where I live, it’s the place I chose, the place I built my life, and the place I want to serve.
Why I’m Running
I’m running for Spokane County Auditor because a strong community starts with a strong financial footing, and a strong financial footing requires people who trust the person at the helm.
With a leadership transition ahead in the Auditor’s Office, Spokane County deserves someone who is qualified, proven, and committed to bringing transparency to everything they do. That’s exactly what I’ve spent the last eighteen years building my career on: when something doesn’t add up, you say so, even when it costs you.
Qualified to Do the Job
The County Auditor is the chief accountant for Spokane County. This isn’t a job for a politician, it’s a job for someone who knows numbers, understands financial systems, and has the professional credentials to back it up.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Forbes School of Business at Ashford University. I’m a federally licensed Enrolled Agent (EA), authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the IRS. I own and operate a tax and accounting practice right here in Spokane, where I work every day with individuals, families, and small business owners navigating real financial challenges.
Before that, I spent years in corporate accounting, rising from bookkeeper to Controller and Chief Financial Officer of a fast-growing national precious metals company. I know what it looks like when the books are clean, and I know what it looks like when they’re not.
Transparency Isn’t a Slogan. It’s My Track Record.
In 2018, while serving as CFO of the national precious metals company, I uncovered systematic fraud, retirees being sold overpriced coins at markups of 50% to over 200%, with aggressive sales tactics designed to drain their retirement savings. I could have stayed quiet and kept collecting a six-figure salary. Instead, I resigned and filed formal whistleblower complaints with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
I chose transparency over a paycheck, and I’d do it again. No questions asked.
My work has since been covered by The Washington Post, the Financial Times, and numerous national outlets. In February 2026, I was featured in Tucker Carlson Network’s documentary The Great Gold Scam, which exposed the predatory practices I first brought to light nearly a decade ago. I also wrote The Gold Grift: Secrets of the American Gold IRA Scam to arm everyday Americans with the information they need to protect their savings.
To date, I have helped recover tens of millions of dollars for defrauded retirees, and I continue to push for legislative reform to protect people from predatory financial practices.
Rooted in This Community
I’ve been an active part of Spokane’s civic life for years. I served as Executive Director of We Believe, We Vote, a Spokane-based nonprofit that helps citizens engage with the candidates on their ballot. In 2024, I ran for Washington Secretary of State, earning the Washington State Republican Party’s endorsement with 66% of the delegate vote, a strong showing of support from grassroots Republicans across the state.
That campaign taught me something important: the issues I care about most, transparency, accountability, and making sure government works for the people, start at the local level. Spokane County’s Auditor’s Office touches every taxpayer in our community. This is where the work matters most.
What I’ll Bring to the Auditor’s Office
The Auditor’s Office oversees county finances, elections, and public records. It’s an office that demands both technical competence and a deep commitment to openness. I bring both.
- Professional accounting credentials that meet the demands of the job, not just political ambition, but proven expertise.
- A demonstrated record of transparency when the stakes were real and the cost was personal.
- Small business experience that gives me firsthand understanding of how county operations affect working families and local entrepreneurs.
- A commitment to accessible, open government where residents don’t have to wonder what’s happening with their tax dollars.
I want to make sure that the people in our community can trust the office that manages their public finances and their elections. I’ve spent my career proving that I’ll always do the right thing, even when it’s the hardest thing, and even when it comes at a personal cost.
